You looked through the peephole to see... Dave Strider. Your crush.

            Your eyes widened. You hadn't even showered yet and your hair was a mess. How were you supposed to face him like this? "Uh... Hold on a moment!" you called through the door. Before you scurried of to the bathroom to fix your hair you heard a muffled 'okay' in response. You rushed to find a comb and practically ripped it through your hair, then smoothing it and fixing your pajamas. Your shirt was a bit low cut and made you feel a little self-conscious, so you threw an over-sized hoodie. Then you remembered that Dave was still waiting at the door.

You ran lightly and as fast as you could to the door and opened it. "Sup." his face stayed emotionless.

"Hey... Uh... Do you want to come in?" you asked.

He nodded and you stepped aside; him walking in. You closed the door and turned to the boy. "Was there something you needed? Or...?" you mentally face palmed at yourself for seeming so awkward. Focusing back on Dave, he opened his mouth to say something.

"No, nothing really."

"Oh. Well, okay." you replied and sat back down on the couch. Dave followed and sat next to you, though he sat unusually close. But you didn't mind.

            You sat in silence for a couple minutes, listening to the sounds of the rain and pianos mixing together. And it didn't feel weird or awkward at all. It felt... Comfortable. Just by being next to him. You started feeling drowsy and soon felt sleep enveloping you. Unbeknownst to you, your head fell onto Dave's shoulder. He looked down at your sleeping form; his heart racing. Figuring you'd be asleep for a while, he grabbed the blanket that was draped over the back of the couch and wrapped the both of you in it. He then rested his head on top of yours and fell asleep.

            Your eyes fluttering open, you found yourself cuddled into Dave's chest with his arm wrapped around you while both of you were lying down on the couch. You felt the heat rise up to your face and the tips of your ears. You didn't dare move. This might be the only time you ever get to experience this! Depending whether or not he rejects you though...

            He still had his shades on, but they were skewed given the way he was laying with his face squished into the pillow. And being in such a close proximity, you could detect a light scent of apples on him. You smiled at this. You called at Dave to wake him up, you wanted to get in the shower. "Dave." you poked his chest a couple of times. "Dave." you poked him again.

"Hnng... Hm?"

"Let me get up. I'm going to take a shower. You can stay asleep if you want."

He removed his arm from around your body and let you get up.

"I won't take long. I'll be out in a minute."

"Mm-hm..." his voice sounded muffled, and he shifted his head face first into the pillow.

            You walked towards your room and started to pick out an outfit. In the process, you paused and started to think about how you would tell Dave your feelings. You failed to hear the footsteps coming closer to your room; you had also failed in hearing yourself thinking out loud. "How the hell am I supposed to even tell him that I love him? Why does it feel so difficult? What am I even supposed to say?" You huffed and started shuffling through more clothes.

"[y/n]." you tensed up at the voice coming from the doorway. Had he heard what you said before?

"..." you didn't look at him.

"Someone's thinking out loud." he said with a smirk.

            You weren't sure if he knew you were talking about him or not. And that made you nervous. He stood at the open doorway but soon started sauntering towards you. You freeze, trying your best not to let him see your worry.

            He stopped about two feet away from you. "[y/n]. I want to show you something."

            Your mouth went dry. You were expecting him to invite you to his place to show you his new music or something similar. Taking a breath, you reply. "Okay."

            You were about to turn back to your closet when Dave moved closer to you. Your breath hitched in your throat. You looked up at him and saw he'd taken his shades off. Staring back at you were beautiful, candy red eyes. You watched them in amazement. "Dave your eyes are really pretty, I'm jealous." He chuckled, albeit he flashed a smile you'd never seen before. And it was beautiful. All of a sudden, Dave's slightly dry lips made contact with yours. You were shocked, but then returned the kiss. Your heart was ready to burst from your chest.

            His hands cupped the sides of your face and your hands rested on his shoulders. Your lips moved in sync and the grogginess from sleep hadn't fully worn off yet, so it was gentle. Dave's hands are now on your hips, and your arms are wrapped around his neck; occasionally messing in his hair.

            You noticed the music was still playing in the background and it somehow captured all of the emotion in the moment. You and Dave ended up laying on your bed, though nothing happened. "[y/n]," your thoughts were interrupted by his voice. "I love you. And I have for a long while. Would you mind me asking you to be with me?"

            Your heart started up again. "I love you too. And I wouldn't mind. I'll be with you." you said with a tired smile. You giggled and sat back up. "I'm going to get in the shower now. If you need anything just call for me or knock on the door. You walked back to your closet and settled for a black shirt and leggings with an over-sized burgundy sweater. Gathering your underclothes and other necessities, you headed for the bathroom leaving Dave on your bed, watching.

"Mind if I join you?" Dave called to you with an evident smirk in his voice.

You laughed. "Not today, buddy."
